Call for Papers

The Innovations in Intelligent Systems and Applications Conference (ASYU) organized since 2004 will be held this year on September 7-9, 2022, at the Campus by Akdeniz University with the support of Yildiz Technical University. The language of the conference will be English and Turkish. Special session proposals on the topics of Smart applications in Health, Energy, Transportation, Engineering Education, Defense Industry and Financial and Business Administration will be accepted for current issues. All papers sent to the conference will be evaluated by at least three referees through blind evaluation system. Our conference will be face to face. There is also the option to join online.

    About the Speaker

    He completed his bachelor's degree in ITU Electrical Engineering, his master's degree in Swedish Chalmers University of Technology Computer Science and Engineering Department, digital communication network systems sub-field, and his doctorate in ITU Computer Sciences on spectrum management in smart radio networks. He did his postdoctoral research at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Since October 2016, he has the title of Adjunct Faculty at Northeastern University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was visiting professor at Tampere University of Technology in Finland in 2015 and at Queen's University Belfast (QUB) in the United Kingdom in 2016. He has over 100 published and evaluated publications in respected international journals and conferences, 2 national books, 4 international book chapters and three international patent applications. He is an IEEE Senior Member, ACM and IEE member. He is the editor of the leading communications journals IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Communications Letters, Elsevier Computer Networks and ELSEVIER Computer Communications. In the Broadband Communications Research Group (BCRG) laboratory, which he founded at ITU Computer Engineering Department, he has graduated 4 doctorate and 12 master's students so far. In 2019, Turkish Informatics Association Prof. Dr. Aydın Köksal won the Computer Engineering Academic Education Award. In 2018, it was deemed worthy of the best academic work award among approximately 1500 studies at the IEEE INFOCOM conference, the world's leading communication conference, for the first time from Turkey. He is the owner of the 2018 IEEE Turkey Research Incentive Award. In 2017, it received the British Council Research Link Award. In 2016, it received the best paper award among approximately 200 papers at the IEEE CAMAD conference, one of the leading communication conferences in its field. Recipient of the 2016 UK Royal Academy of Engineering NEWTON Research Collaboration Award. It received the best poster award at the IEEE INFOCOM conference in 2015. He received the 2017 ITU Best Doctoral Thesis Award with the thesis he supervised.
